Much brighter then I expected it to be. No, its not 500 lumens. Am glad it has 3 brightness settings. No headlamp or flashlight or even automobile lights come anywhere close to their advertised lumens. But this headlamp is amazingly bright for the price. A lot of LED headlamps dont focus well and dont have much range, but this little lamp doesnt suffer from those cons.
